If you use AI for any part of your creative output, I'm going to assume you did so out of laziness and that your lack of passion tells me I should avoid whatever it is you've made.

2.5 Admins 265: Storage Lies
Joe set up a FreeBSD box to serve as a replication target and it was surprisingly straightforward, if rather different from Linux. Plus the lies that storage tells us.
🏕️ my adventures in #selfhosting: day 275 (coping mechanisms edition)
World events being what they are, authoritarianism, technofeudalism and other everyday horrors are pushing me to spin up another server on Hetzner with the excuse "well, I've gotten so many requests to show what's it's like to install YunoHost, this is the perfect opportunity."
Self-hosting is a pretty good distraction from the
(dumpster FIRES) going off everywhere. At least for me. Top 3 coping mechanism (top 1: playing with my child; top 2: aromatherapy).
I may do it next week 🙈
I hope you're having a nice day. Chin up! Resist! Enjoy the little things 🌸🍵🌈

Simultaneously, I believe:
- If the Trump administration goes after Bluesky, this is a case where we clearly side with Bluesky. It doesn't help anyone to be under attack like that.
- It's also a motivating reason to make Bluesky not depend on one corporation sooner than later, and encourage such designs generally, wherever possible.
If you didn't see, here's new context which makes this thread more interesting https://bsky.app/profile/esqueer.net/post/3lyyqtzb7ns2m
> Clay Higgins sent a letter to Bluesky and other social media sites threatening investigations if they don't censor speech critical of Charlie Kirk.
Just a post about a bunch of stuff like shirts and minimalism and like the pandemic and such

As many of you know, I'm a huge fan of xterm.
It seems that as of last year, xterm now has it's own website:
It's really cool! Lots of useful tips on there.
Worth a read. :)
