@lain I’ve seen that study quoted a lot and I’ll have to look it up because there’s no way it actually argues we could just drop $6 billion and “end world hunger.”

@Bianca @lain @nigel A lot of them are ruled by regimes which don't really care about feeding political opponents, a lot of the rest are in (civil) wars or similar enough circumstances. It's good to keep in mind famines used to be a regular occurrence all around the world before the Industrial Revolution. It's not surprising world hunger is still a thing, it's surprising how much it went down.
